Spring Meeting

Brightlingsea Bowling Club is proud to host the upcoming Spring Meeting for the E.C.B.A Group 1 Chairman, Committee and County Delegates.
 
Although the Club House will not be closed, we kindly ask anyone who does require access to keep noise to a minimum.

Green Opening !!!

Wed 24th April

From 12pm

 
Thanks to the continued hard work and dedication of our Green Keepers we can proudly announce that our Green will be open for play from Wednesday 24th April 2024 starting 12pm.  
 
Please NOTE the Opening Drive is still Saturday 27th April at 2pm.
 
Please be careful at this early part of the season.  The Green will still be soft and extra care MUST be taken to ensure we continue through the season with a high quality playing surface.
 
Please ensure rinks are used evenly.  We do not want the same rinks being used over and over again.  Please try and spread your games across the Green by choosing a different Rink each time you play.  Notices about best practices are placed around the club house for further guidance or feel free to ask any of the Green Committee.

Season 2024 Schedule

You will find the latest fixture information for Season 2024 on our new Club Diary page.  Our club gets involved at National level and is often competing in the later stages of the Essex County and Tendring District competitions.  We compete weekly in a wide range of competitions, leagues and formats.  We encourage all members to participate or support.

About Brightlingsea

Brightlingsea Bowling Club is a competitive and friendly lawn bowls club based in the Tendring district of Essex.  New and experienced bowlers are always welcomed.  Our qualified Coaches can provide any training required to get you started.  We have competitive or friendly game opportunities available to all members.  Our outdoors season is generally April to September.  We stay open during the autumn and winter months usually October to March providing carpet bowls and a friendly bar with a great atmosphere.  Our Club is constantly evolving and growing.  We have members competing at all levels of National Bowls. Our mission is to provide a fantastic club and green that provides opportunities for every member.
